Spay & Neuter

Key Component to Pet Population Control

The large number of pets that are not spayed or neutered is primarily due to lack of education, funds, or access.

Some may feel that spay and neuter is not safe or healthy.  In fact, spay and neuter offers pets health and safety benefits!    Many lost pets, in fact, are the result of pets that are “on the run” driven by their natural instincts to reproduce.

Our overwhelming flow of unwanted dogs and cats is central to making a major dent in our overrun shelter system.  Getting the word out about resources to help those seeking spay/neuter, but who may have a financial barrier to access is vital.
