Join our journey ...

It starts with YOU.  We can help!
What will motivate you to start learning about responsible pet ownership and animal rescue?

Our dogs and cats contribute so much to our lives in the way of companionship, and they sincerely become a part of our family.  Yet that is not the case for every dog and cat in households, and the homeless pet population is extreme. What is not clear to many is how even small measures can play a role in changing that dynamic.

Gen Wags is here to help connect the dots between pet parenting and animal rescue.
There are more connections than you might think!

Our "Why"

Previously known as Generation Wags since 2014, Gen Wags is on a mission to provide a new perspective about how pet ownership and the rescue community often intersect, and how to avoid that nexus.

Kudos to all pet parents for opening their hearts and homes to pets and offering the love and companionship they so deserve.

Taking simple steps to keep your pet happy and healthy in your own home can help reduce the strains on local shelters and rescues.

For example, collars with visible tags and microchips on pets. As our Love Tag Chip Challenge shares “Keep Your Pet Safe, Save A Shelter Space”.

Spay and neutering of pets helps to address overpopulation.

Even if you don’t own a pet, you can actively get involved.

Our learning segments below and ongoing blog posts will help you be a part of the solution.
